Fred Dahlinger, Jr., is a circus historian and the author of several books on the American s. Dahlinger was the historiai consultant on this project, using the extensive archive of publications and unique primary source material he has compiled over the part 40 years oa the technology, art forms, music, and management of circuses and outdoor amusement. Linda Granfield is a widely published author whose book Circus : An Album won six ds, including a place on the "Best of the Best" list by Chicago Public Library.
Known for her clear and accessible writing, Granfield has penned many young adult publications as well as adult nonfiction books. Dominique Jando has written five books and numerous articles on American and European cireuses. He was associate artistic director of New York's Big Apple Circus from 1983 to 2002, and creative director and director of the San Francisco School of Circus Arts from 2003 to 2004.
He is cofounder of Paris' annual world-famous circus arts compétition, the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain. Noel Daniel is a graduate of Princeton University and a former Fulbright Scholar w Berlin.
