Biographie de Wouter Davidts
Wouter Davidts lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium. He is Adjunct-Professor in the Department of Architecture & Urban Planning, Ghent University (UGent), and teaches at Sint Lucas School of Arts and in the Drama Department of the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp. He was awarded the Eduardo Chillida Professorship 2015 at the Art History Institute of Goethe University in Frankfurt. He is the author of Bouwen voor de kunst ? (A&S/ books, 2006) and Triple Bound (Valiz, 2016), and has published widely on the museum, contemporary art and architecture.
He is the editor of The Fall of the Studio : Artists at Work (Valiz, 2009 ; with Kim Paice), Crack : Koen van den Broek, Painting (Valiz, 2010), and Luc Deleu - T. O. P. office : Orban Space (Valiz, 2012 ; with Guy Châtel & Stefaan Vervoort). He is the curator of Beginners & Begetters at Extra City Kunsthal, Antwerp (2007), Abstract USA 1958-1968. In the Galleries at the Rijksmuseum Twenthe in Enschede (2010), and Orban Space : Luc Deleu - T.
O. P. office at Stroom Den Haag and Extra City, Antwerp (2013 ; with Stefaan Vervoort). Most recently he curated The Corner Show (Extra City Kunsthal, Antwerp, 2015 ; with Philip Metten and Mihnea Mircan).
