Ingrid Geelen gained her Masters in Eastern Philology and a postgraduate degree in Cultural Studies at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven). She subsequently focused on art history and restoration, specializing in medieval sculpture and polychromy. Since 1997, she has been a member of staff at the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (Department of Conservation, Polychromed Sculpture Workshop), where she has been involved in various research and restorations projects.
She is preparing a doctoral thesis on sculpture in Flanders between 1380 and 1440. Delphine Steyaert gained her Licence in Art Sciences and Archaeology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, subsequently specializing in medieval sculpture and polychromy. Since 2001 she has worked at the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (Department of Conservation, Polychromed Sculpture Workshop) and has been involved in diverse research projects.
She is preparing a doctoral thesis on neo-Gothic polychromed sculpture and the restoration of medieval sculpture in the second half of the nineteenth century.
