It's great to be on safari - as long as you're not the prey... Four airplanes and three continents see Kate, Alex and his friend Nadia arrive in the red plains of Kenya to photograph the first elephant-led safaris for International Geographic. But their simple expedition begins with a shilling warning from a witch doctor, and ends up much more complicated than they planned. Brother Fernando, a Catholic missionary, approaches their camp and pleads for help in finding his lost companions. The trio follow the trail to the swamp forests of Ngoubé, where they find a clan of pygmies caught in a world of corruption and slavery. À propos de l'auteur

Biographie d'Isabel Allende

Isabel Allende was born in 1942, the niece of Salvador Allende, who went on to become famous as the elected President of Chile deposed in a CIA-backed coup. She worked as a journalist, play-wright and children's writer in Chile until 1974 and then in Venezuela until 1984. Her first novel for adults, The House of the Spirits, was published in Spanish in 1982, beginning life as a letter to her dying grandfather. It was an international sensation, and ever since all her books have been acclaimed and adored in numerous translations worldwide. Forest of the Pygmies is the follow-up to City of the Beasts and Kingdom of the Golden Dragon, a series for young readers.
