This book presents responses to face unknown risks, showing known examples to generate alerts and suggest possible responses. The two generic responses to unidentified risks that are currently being outlined are the so-called de-risking and decoupling, which are two historically emerging proposals, which appeared on the world map very recently and that we are learning to recognize and consider. We are all worried.
Gone are the days when we could precisely identify a worrying risk and look for a way to eliminate it or reduce its impact. Metaphorically speaking in health terms, efforts were focused on finding antidotes for known vermin bites or having on hand effective vaccines against contagious diseases with which we had already dealt.
