The Violence of Epiphany - Sacred Seasons, #2

Somewhat lost in the materialistic surge of modern Christmas is the season of Epiphany.  Today it exists more as a word used for discovery or the light going on in someone's understanding.  However, the brief Biblical account which has come to be known as Epiphany speaks to the true nature of Christmas and the violent nature of power.  Perhaps this forgotten season needs to be remembered in our violent, materialistic times.
