The Transparent Truth

Have you ever just sat down to try and figure out some of the tricky questions about your faith? This is where I was several years ago, trying to think through some of the things I was repeatedly asked about but had never really answered to my satisfaction, or that of my friends! Questions such as what is sin? How did it come about and how does it affect me and my children? Can I even consider evolution as a Christian, and what about dinosaurs where do they fit into all this? Can I be sure about God? Can I rely on what is written down in the Bible, after all a lot seems to rest on what it says.
Were Adam and Eve real and if so did they commit incest with their children? What was it that made Jesus more special than you or me or Joe and Jane from down the road? Are heaven and hell a figment of our collective imaginations? There are lots of questions but are there any reasonable answers?  Even though I had a good understanding of my faith it wasn't enough and asking ministers and preachers hadn't helped either.
Even reading from well published authors just caused more confusion in some cases.
