'K' has voluntarily given herself over to her Dominant, Roger Gilchrist. He now controls her completely, physically, sexually and financially. He rules her life, telling her what to wear, where to go, who she can have sex with and the punishment is harsh if she breaks those rules. And yet her submission to his will is voluntary, she's not being coerced in any way. Roger tells her she is free to walk away any time she chooses.
But does she want to? There's a saying, "It's dangerous to shelter under the wings of a dragon. And yet it is very warm there". For the first time in her adult life, K feels safe and protected because someone actually cares about her and what happens to her. Up to now Roger only been testing her, seeing what she can handle. If she stays, the training will begin for real. The rules will be stricter, the punishments will be harsher and no longer private.
They will be a public display for Roger's amusement and his guest's entertainment. K's not scared, worse has happened to her in her lifetime but her only fear is that she won't be able to live up to Roger's expectations.
