The day I Woke up in the Mental Asylum! PS: I didn't go Cuckoo is my story. It happened to me! It talks about the horror of waking up on a bed in a mental asylum after sliding onto the couch at my parents' home for a nap. The horror is the fact that I am mentally competent and not a single person spoke to me before admitting me as an inpatient in that psychiatric facility.   Committing women to mental health facilities is the last resort in the countries where women are chronically oppressed.
I thought it happens to weak women and scaredy-girlie kind of women. I strongly believed that it happens only to the women who wear conservative clothes, follow the traditions, and allow themselves to be oppressed by men.  I believed all that until it happened to me... I am me. I am strong. I know the laws. I know about my rights. I have a very good educational background required for people in my profession.
 I am bold. I walked out. Most women don't. I want you to know what happens in Third World countries.
