Violence and perversion are his favourite themes, and making money is his goal. Naked, two gunshot wounds to her chest, a red scarf knotted around her neck . The vicious murder of a young nurse, which copies the murder of a schoolgirl thirty years ago, is just the kind of thing Carl likes to write about. His plan is simple: churn out a book and pocket the profit. But this time things aren't that easy. Two women-an ambitious journalist and a police officer with a troubled life-want the murderer behind bars and decades-old wrongs to be paid for.
