So You Want To Be A Writer?

So you want to be a Writer, eh? Congratulations. I'm serious. Researchers have well-documented the health effects of becoming a Writer. I won't dwell on it here, but suffice it to say writing is beneficial for your mental health, your physiology and perhaps even your bank account. How do you know if you've got the makings of a Writer? A tough question. The only answer I can think of is I Don't Know.
Only you know if you can be a Writer. It's not like you wanted to become a lawyer or a doctor. There are no master's degrees in Writing. But the good news is, there are hundreds of classes, books and courses out there to teach you the basics. You might never need these things, but it's reassuring to know they are out there. You can always stop writing if it doesn't please you. But I'm willing to bet that you'll enjoy exploring what a Writer is, and how it will change your life.
