Seven Pillars of Faith

THIS BOOK IS ABOUT the main points of my Christian faith. I couldn't find a book concise enough, yet full of all the important information and doctrines in one place. So I wrote it for myself and for my friends to present my faith, which I have by the mercy of God. I will use seven pillars, which I deem to be of most importance for a Christian in search of the truth. Seven is the foundation of God's word and It is filled with that number.
If we include how many times 'sevenfold' and 'seventh' are used in the Bible, our total count jumps to eight hundred sixty references. Seven is the number of completeness and perfection. It derives much of its meaning from being tied directly to God's creation of all things. There are seven days in a week and God's Sabbath is on the seventh day. The Bible, as a whole, was originally divided into seven major divisions.
These are the Law, the Prophets, the Writings or Psalms, the Gospels and Acts, the General Epistles, the Epistles of Paul; and the book of Revelation. So I too use the number of completion. My seven pillars of faith include presupposition of God's existence, God's character and being, God's plan, Biblical view of the future, assurance in Scripture, Power of God and the Gospel of Christ.
