French comic book artist, Simon Muchat, has reached one of life's dead ends. He drifts through his uneventful day-to-day existence, which has become devoid of color and flavor, and severely lacking in inspiration. He has no plans, no desires, no projects, and is slowly stagnating in his job as a school art teacher. He seems indifferent to his girlfriend's reproaches as she tries to shake him from his torpor.
Simon is invited to spend a few days in Portugal for a comic book festival. The invitation strikes a chord with him, as his family is originally from there, and he hasn't been back since his childhood. Perhaps this will at long last lead him out of the maze, and towards a new life of color and feeling and the senses. This is the story of rebirth, through the rediscovery of a childhood place, shrouded in the haze of memory.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Pedrosa

Cyril was born in 1972. An avid reader of Mickey Parade and Astérix, he was six years old when he decided to become a cartoonist. His parents were delighted but suggested that he continued his studies for a little while longer. It took him a good twenty years to gain his baccalauréat diploma in mathematics and sciences (including three extra months of maths), meet the love of his life, grow his hair long, return to art school, study animation drawing at Les Gobelins graphic and media arts school, work for Disney, get his hair cut short again and then, finally, meet David Chauvel. Working together, they first of all produced "Ring Circus", then "Les aventures spatio temporelles de Shaolin Moussaka" for Éditions Delcourt.
And, having got off to such a good start, they are certainly not going to stop there. In addition to his collaborative work, Cyril writes and illustrates stories on his own, and "Les Coeurs solitaires" is the first of his solo works to be published. Cyril was born in 1972.
