Poor Singapore Become Richest

Such a country where people did not have food to eatand there was so much povertythat people lost lives due to unavailability of food. There weren't any natural resources. Area wise it so small thateven after zooming, people couldn't find it in world map. And talking about population, area wise population was very large. There are 7000+ people per square km. In India, 430 people dwell in the same area.
But this country did something due to which, within few yearsit transforms from a poor country to one of the richest countries in the world.
