Ashley Sweet was living her dream-baking cupcakes and making plans to expand her bakery-until Thorton Hodges walked in with an offer she could, and did, refuse. Dismayed at her refusal of his client's offer, Thorn briefly wonders what the pretty young baker's lips would feel like beneath his before immediately dismissing the idea. After all, fate only grants a man one true love. Both Ashley and Thorn are hesitant to acknowledge the growing attraction between them until a near-disaster puts Ashley in need of Thorn's help.
