Irreverent

The family tree's roots are corrupt, but I will make him proud. Family is everything. He taught me that. The lessons I learned as a child still resonate in my blood; our family tree needs to remain pure in order to remain strong. Greene roots burrow deep, and the brittle leaves that are sharp enough to cut us all down grip tightly to the branches. I know my purpose, but the problem is, how can I fulfil it when the ground is barren and the tree can't bear any fruit? Broken branches need to be cut, but I'm not ready to give up.
I refuse to surrender to the curse that our bloodline has bestowed upon me. The old tyrant, who in one way or another is the father of us all, he would stand resolute and unshakeable. Luke is everything I want to be, and if I have to crawl my way out of the depths of the oubliette to prove myself, then so be it. They're a part of him too. and in the end I will show them. After all, I am still a Greene.
