Biographie de Matthias Gerschwitz

Matthias Gerschwitz wurde 1959 in Wuppertal geboren und wuchs in Solingen auf. Nach Abitur und Bundeswehr folgte das Studium der Werbewirtschaft in Pforzheim (1982 bis 1984), das er in Frankfurt am Main fortsetzte und 1987 als Kommunikationswirt abschloss. Von 1984 bis 1991 arbeitete Gerschwitz im Marketing eines mittelständischen Markenartikelunternehmens (delta pronatura) im Raum Frankfurt, von 1991 bis 1992 war er als Product Manager Functional Products bei Firmenich (ein weltweit operierender Konzern der Riechstoff- und Aromenindustrie) in der Nähe von Köln tätig.
1992 machte er sich mit einer Werbeagentur in Berlin selbständig. Seit 2007 schreibt Gerschwitz auch Bücher, z. B. Chroniken, u.a. über die älteste Kneipe Berlin-Charlottenburgs ( »Molle und Medaille« ), das Haus seiner Jugend ( »Das Haus in der Kaiserstraße« ) und die Kirche seiner Heimatstadt ( »Mittendrin - Die evangelische Kirche in Solingen-Wald« ). 2014 erschien »Pizza Panorama« (Reiseinspirationen vom Gardasee) und 2016 »Frischfleisch war ich auch mal« - Ein Lesebuch mit Geschichten über den Wandel der Zeiten.
