Elephantantrum!

Gillian's love of books led her to read English at St Catharine's College, Cambridge. After university she studied acting in London. She then taught in a drama school for several years. She recently taught English and Drama before becoming a full-time writer. Cally studied illustration at Newcastle Art College and since graduating has worked in the children's design industry. She spent 6 fun filled years as an in-house artist for Hallmark Cards before going on to become a freelance illustrator.
She now has her own home studio with a lovely view of the Northumberland countryside. Inspiration for her work comes from almost anything: a pretty tea set, hill walking, tending her vegetable patch, even panda bears. (Though she's yet to meet one).
