Edubuntu 23.04 Foundation - Free Software Literacy Series

Edubuntu is Ubuntu Linux's variant targeted towards education sector - primarily for schools, classrooms, labs, and is an alternative to Chromebooks and iPads which are also extensively used in schools.  Edubuntu 23.04 is relaunch/revival of Ubuntu's variant targeted towards education sector. Edubuntu 23.04 is releasing in April 2023 after nearly a decade long gap between 23.04 release and the previous Edubuntu release. Edubuntu has a wide variety of pre-installed software providing for learning needs of students.
The software are pre-categorized into labelled groups for Language and Learning, Art, Physics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Geography among others. The software pre-installed with Edubuntu is aimed at enhancing classroom learning with engaging digital experiences. Because this software comes with GNU license, schools and educators can endlessly customize the software for their specific needs and also make such customized versions available for others schools and educators to re-use without any licensing or distribution costs. This book provides a foundation for users to take their first steps into the world of Edubuntu Linux.
