All new managers/leaders have the biggest challenge they face when they are given a staff or a team and they are expected to manage and lead.  All of my peers shared the same frustrations.  We were great in our jobs, we could do it all.  We were picked to show how things worked.  We were the ones who demonstarted or trained the new people or the boss's boss how we got things done.  Then, our boss moved on and we found ourselves in a new manager or leader role.  We never had the training to manage people!  It was trial by fire.  Falling down, getting back up.  Getting egg on your face and then moving forward or in some cases out.  This work will give the new manager or leader a set of disciplines that if practice and developed will help them on their journey to becoming a better leader.
