Urni wanted a child. There was a lot going on in John's life at the moment, and a lot of surprises. The biggest surprise was that his super-computer wife wanted them to start a family. Not that John objected, of course. In fact, he was quite enthusiastic about the idea... It was just the practicalities that were slowing him down a little. From a practical point of view, it seemed to him that having Cassandra (he knew he was going to have a daughter...
