Black faculty

A Master of Philosophy, journalist, and educator who has been recognised for her commendable work in promoting educational equality and inclusivity. Alongside her noteworthy contributions to non-fiction and children's literature, she is presently engaged in writing and directing for the Finnish national broadcaster Yle. Salaado is an important voice on social issues and continues to make an impact in various ways. A multifaceted professional who works as a project expert for the Mentoring For Future initiative, specialising in positive psychology.
In addition, she is an author, film director, screenwriter, and photographer. Faisa is committed to helping young people discover their potential and achieve their dreams. She also possesses extensive experience in developing the education sector and providing mentorship. A Ghanaian photographer who is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in social sciences at the University of Helsinki.
Her thinking engages Black motherhood, parenting, social work, and socio-economic development throughout the Finnish Black diaspora. She is the founder of Studiopeee, a creative place in Helsinki that focuses on capturing the beautiful moments of immigrant families. Her creative praxis is invested in documenting the Black diaspora in Finland.
