She published her first novel, Garden of Dreams, in 1975 and wrote for Mills & Boon/ Harlequin for over 40 years. Former journalist Sara also balanced her impressing writing career with winning the 1997 series of the UK TV show Mastermind, and standing as Chairman of the Romance Novelists' Association from 2011 to 2013. Sara passed away in November 2017.
