Christine Nickl-Welter is an architect and professor for the Design of Hospitals and Healthcare Buildings at the Technical University of Berlin. Hans Nickl is an architect and visiting professor at the same department. In their shared offices they systematically dedicate themselves and their work to the realisation of buildings in the field of research and health care in Germany as well as abroad.
The approach of Nickl-Weller and Nickl is characterised by their concern to create and design modern buildings which have a positive effect upon and strengthen work and living domains; edifices that focus upon the activities and needs of the individuals who live, work - and recover - in them, which is the approach that they also apply to healthcare buildings. Their designs represent important, landmark milestones in modern hospital architecture.
