Here is an essay which will enable those who have not yet been interested in this theme of Transhumanism to form a balanced idea of it. The author, Njoh Mouelle, proposes at the same time a synthesis of the ideas of this movement and critical analyzes inspired by a refreshing bergsonism. He writes to take part in the debate on the future of humanity, sparked by the scientific-philosophical movement that bears this name, started in the United States and which is beginning to move the European intelligentsia.
He also writes to sensitize an African opinion far unaware of these preoccupations that concern all humankind : they promise eternal longevity to man, superintelligence, the augmentation of all his capacities, as much physical as mental. Is the author right to stigmatize the mercantilism of the sponsors of the research carried out within the framework of the famous convergence of Nanotechnologies, Biotechnologies, Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science (NBIC), to the point of considering that the philosophical label of this scientific-cultural movement serves as a simple commercial slogan ?
