When the British singer/ songwriter Neville Charles discovers her one night, she takes him up on his offer to make rock music together. In early seventies New York City, Opal and Nev are on the cusp of stardom. But when violence breaks out at one of their concerts, Opal's bold protest sets off a chain of events that changes their lives forever.
Decades later, as Opal considers a reunion with Nev, music journalist S. Sunny Shelton seizes the chance to curate an oral history about her idols. Sunny thought she knew most of the stories surrounding the cult duo, but as her interviews dig deeper, a new allegation threatens everything.
