Biographie de Caroline Elam
Caroline Elam was Editor of The Burlington Magazine from 1987 to 2002. She has held teaching positions in Art History at the Universities of Glasgow and Westfield College, London, and research fellowships at King's College, Cambridge and Villa I Tatti, Florence. From 2002 to 2004 she was Andrew W Mellon Professor at the Center for Advanced Study at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, and in 2008 the Clarence and Ruth Wedgwood Kennedy Professor at Smith College, Northampton MA.
She was awarded the Agnes Mongan Prize at Villa I Tatti in 2003. She has written extensively on art, architecture and patronage in the Italian Renaissance and on the reception of Italian art in the late nineteenth and twentieth century.
