Peter Howarth is the CEO of Show Media, the creative agency in London, and Executive Editor of Brummell magazine and former Editor of Arena, Esquire UK and Man About Town magazines. He has also been a columnist for the Financial Times, The Times and Men's Health magazine, and is currently a columnist for Boat International magazine. Haworth started his career as Projects Manager for designer Paul Smith and then set up the menswear collection for Nicole Farhi.
He became a journalist and worked as Style Director for British GQ before gaining his first editorship, at Areno. In 2002, he set up Show Media with two colleagues from Esquire, a creative agency that specialises in content creation and brand consultancy. He lives in London with his wife and has six sons. While attending university, author and screenwriter Robert Ryan trained as o mechanic for a short oval Hot Rod racing team.
As well as costing him a little finger, this kick-started a lifelong interest in motorsports. He is the author of more than twenty novels, wrote the screenplay for the recent movie Hurricane and regularly collaborates, as librettist, with jazz trumpeter and composer Guy Barker on large-scale orchestral and vocal works. Ryan is also a regular contributor to The Times newspaper as a travel writer. He drives a BMW 1M Coupe but still misses his BMW 2002 Tii Lux, which would have been his ideal Gumball 3000 car.
