To Tithe or Not to Tithe

Tithing is a subject that many people have their opinion about. Interestingly even unbelievers have their take on this subject. Below are some of the popular opinions about Tithing. 1. The first group says we are no longer under the law but the believer can choose to tithe or not.2. The second group says tithing was before the law hence we should tithe just like Abraham did.3. The third group also says, tithing isn't a new testament practice hence the believer isn't under any obligation to pay his or her tithe.
Well, one thing we must all understand is that the Bible is written to all, we can have different opinions but the truth is that when there are two or more opinions regarding a subject in the Bible, it is either one group is lying, one is right or all are lying. For example, we can't say there are two or three different ways to the father.  John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.  Jesus says he is the way to the father. This is absolute regardless of what you think or believe. As a believer, you must be ready to open up to the truth even if it's not in line with your theology. You must accept it and be ready to unlearn, learn and relearn. That's a sign of a good student of the bible and maturity. You can not walk with God and live in a lie of his word.
His word is light and gives us understanding. There is a skill required for teaching and explaining the Bible. That said, we must learn how to rightly divide the word of truth and neglect our sentiments, feelings, and assumption regarding this subject.
