The sacraments are a fundamental part of the Catholic faith. Unfortunately, we sometimes fail to realize their importance. The sacraments are efficacious signs of grace, of participation in the divine life. And these signs are carried out in a physical, sensible way, because we human beings are incarnated souls, neither only body nor only spirit.
