Tales Across Time

Tales Across Time is an anthology of original short stories compiled into a collection that range across the spectrum of science fiction to realistic fiction that are grounded in reality or taken into the future with space exploration. The suspense-drama, "Pop!" follows Percy Porter, a six year old just trying to win a prize at a local fair. Guided by the old man running the booth, Percy must pop eight balloons in order to win, unfortunately, the night turns stale all too soon when a robber emerges from the shadows. "Outpost 13" chronicles the adventure by a Federation soldier, Tenzin, as he plans to prove himself.
A week prior, a trading outpost, Outpost 13, had been decimated by a monster, on a foreign moon, prompting the Federation to send a task force to uncover any details about the attack and kill the monster. Seeing this as his opportunity, Tenzin must prove himself to his fellow soldiers and commander in order to finally be seen as an equal.  In "The Weight of Our Burdens, " Evan is completely broken inside.
Everything that was going good in his life has fallen apart or is in the midst of doing so. From his parents getting a divorce to getting bullied at school, he's done with it. He sees his exit and he is going to take it. He looks down at the street below, ready to take that leap of faith.  "Seeing Red" details the investigation into Officer Sean Tillman's murdered father twenty-some years later. After that entire time of dead ends and false leads, Officer Tillman gets a promising call that leads him to a woman's house in the suburbs.
Fortunately, it just might be the clue he needs to capture the killer all this time later.
