Maya: Electric Guitar Restoration

Maya: Electric Guitar Restoration is a (largely photographic) book that documents the work that the author undertook to restore a 1976 vintage Maya electric guitar. The guitar was found in an unloved state somewhere in the heartlands of Singapore during the global health crisis of 2021 - and was brought back to life lovingly by the author - a self-confessed guitar nerd and wordsmith. The love and affection (woo hoo) showered on this Japanese 'lawsuit era' guitar are way out of kilter with its monetary value - but hint and the prime position the instrument has in the author's mind.
Heaps of photographs of old dusty guitar parts, rusty screws, inexpert pickup routes and corroded solder joints. If this sounds like your cup of tea, then this is the book for you. If it doesn't - well, probably best avoided, to be honest.
